And now, a glitch very similar to the one I freaked out about earlier is happening - I can't access any page on LJ that begins with www.livejournal.com now. So individual journals and profiles work (except certain stylesheets are missing so they look different), but not my inbox or things like that.

I'm very scared right now. I'm pretty sure LJ is going to go down forever at any moment. :O

...wait, it works now. But still, I'm getting scared now. :O

Well, I meant URLs that don't have a journal name or "community" at the beginning.

If all the URLs are becoming without www now, I hope that doesn't mean there's going to be even MORE broken images and links in my journal soon O_O

I actually use Internet Explorer most of the time (cue people hating me for that...), but I use Chrome for things that don't work properly in IE. That's the current state of affairs, anyway - every so often I switch back and forth between default browsers. At one point I used Firefox a lot (but it's not even on my current computer) and at one point I used Chrome a lot.

Its probably lj being a picky booger again.

It's been doing that more often than usual lately, though... or maybe I've just had bad luck and happened to be on the site the two times it happened recently.

LJ is not going anywhere, glitches happen. Don't worry. :)

Over the past couple years the internet has been changing quite a bit. One of the technical changes is in the web addresses, like how http is being weeded out for https. Along with this, a good number of websites are ditching the www. at the beginning entirely. It makes for a slightly shorter and cleaner looking web address, but functionality is the same. If LJ is weeding it out as well, bumps in the road are likely as file paths change. Some browsers also play nicer with this than others, which could also explain the inconsistencies you mentioned.

Deep breaths, friend :)

The glitches I had may not have had to do with the www thing, though, seeing as there was one instance before this entry when I was unable to access any URL beginning with matt1993.livejournal.com but anything beginning with www.livejournal.com, pathvain-aelien.livejournal.com, community.livejournal.com, etc. worked fine.

(Though I know what you mean. The https thing is what finally motivated me back in September 2017 to start fixing that and everything else I'd wanted to fix all of my entries, even though the https glitch itself was finally fixed three weeks later.)

Deep breaths, friend :)

Thanks :)

If I had to pick six words to describe myself, I would panic and ask someone for help because I am so downright random and weird that there is no possible way to describe myself or my journal in only six words.

So here's a list of things you'll probably see in this journal, in no particular order:
- Posts about my life
- Posts about my worrying about being disliked for any number of reasons
- Posts about the fact that I'm trying to fix all the things that are messed up in my LJ and DW and catch up on lots of websites that I'm behind on reading
- Backups of my posts on Miiverse now that Miiverse is discontinued... so if you want to know what some random guy was saying about New Super Mario Bros. U or Nintendo Land five years ago, this is the journal for you :P
- Quizzes and surveys and such
- References to random things I'm obsessed with
- Whatever else I feel like posting

Some of the random things I'm obsessed with are:
- LiveJournal (obviously)
- Looking back at things that were made years ago... old posts on LJ, etc.
- Math
- Weird dreams
- Video games (mostly Mario, Super Smash Bros., Kid Icarus, and Chip's Challenge)
- Video game music
- Homestar Runner
- Enya, my favorite singer and biggest celebrity crush
- Too many comics/webcomics to name... Garfield, mezzacotta, Terror Island, and Circle Versus Square might be the ones I'm the MOST obsessed with though. Oh, and Super Mario Maker Crash Course - that counts as a comic, right? It certainly counts as something I'm obsessed with :P
- Speaking of Super Mario Maker Crash Course, my biggest *fictional* crush is Mary O. Yes, I have a crush on the guide to a video game MANUAL. I'm so weird...

For a (hopefully) complete list of interests and Q&A about me, visit my profile. :) (Which is still in need of an update...)

This journal is semi-friends-only, but there's not much rhyme or reason to which entries are public and which ones aren't...
