FIVE YEARS ON LIVEJOURNAL!!!!!

Yep - I created my LJ account on August 19, 2007. Sad how the anniversary of LJ should happen to be the day after I accidentally deleted a lot of LJ-related stuff, though... in fact, I was so busy after that happened, I didn't get to finish this post until the day after the anniversary of my LJ. :(

I also wanted to include LJ comment stats (which I said I'd do every three months starting on the fourth anniversary, but ended up deciding to just do once every year), but since this post is already late, I'll post them later.

August 20th, 2007 (1 day later): Hi! I'm Matt Aaron. For more info about what I do most of the time, go to my profile page.

September 21st, 2007 (1 month later): Finally finished another screenshot. These screenshots are taking me forever these days!

October 27th, 2007 (2 months): All I have to say is that I'm bored

December 19th, 2007 (4 months): Sorry for not posting for awhile. I was busy getting PrtSc Land (as my screenshots are now called) online.

June 1st, 2008 (9½ months): Now it's REALLY been a while since my last post. In order to get the original version of PrtSc Land revamped and uploaded as soon as possible, I had to do little of anything else.

February 6th, 2009 (1 year, 5½ months): In case you were wondering why I was gone, the main reason is because, after seeing derogatory comments about PrtSc Land, I started trying to avoid most websites I promoted PrtSc Land on.

February 28th, 2009 (1 year, 6 months): I just played the entire Ball Revamped series start to finish within two days.

March 19th, 2009 (1 year, 7 months): The mouth! Why must it hurt so?!

April 19th, 2009 (1 year, 8 months): Matt Albinotoast. It's no secret that it would have to be something from backwards music.

May 19th, 2009 (1 year, 9 months): Yesterday, I was doing a section review in history class, and this happened:

June 19th, 2009 (1 year, 10 months): I knew it was too good to be true. :(

July 21st, 2009 (1 year, 11 months): Since no one did my telephone game meme or my negative LJ meme, I've been trying to come up with something slightly less complicated.

August 19th, 2009 (2 years): Youngest, so I'm doomed to usually be unable to understand anything said by anyone younger than me.

September 19th, 2009 (2 years, 1 month): Apparently there's something evil about the word "fnirt", since this was my 666th comment.

October 19th, 2009 (2 years, 2 months): Uh...let's see. Both of these obviously would have to do with PrtSc Land. So...

November 21st, 2009 (2 years, 3 months): I'm finally out of school for Thanksgiving!

December 19th, 2009 (2 years, 4 months): Snow, because I don't have to go to school. (Well, I'm already in Christmas break, but if I weren't, then I'd prefer snow.)

January 21st, 2010 (2 years, 5 months): "Matt" is my first name and "1993" is the year I was born. Not very unique, I know...

February 19th, 2010 (2 years, 6 months): I've been straining to come up with a new profile name ever since I decided that "Christmas Modifier: 2" is a kinda lame profile name when it's not Christmas, and I finally have one:

March 19th, 2010 (2 years, 7 months): I stayed in bed until 2 PM today. Wow.

April 20th, 2010 (2 years, 8 months): How the cattle note am I supposed to make a posterboard for English class (which I haven't even started on) by Friday, AND finish the HAS essay (which I've only written notes for) and drawing by Sunday?

May 20th, 2010 (2 years, 9 months): i=0ΣWTCN?

June 22nd, 2010 (2 years, 10 months): In four or five days I leave for the NASA summer camp. Can't wait?

July 20th, 2010 (2 years, 11 months): Only a month until school starts, and I still haven't finished those summer reading projects :(

August 19th, 2010 (3 years): Because I actually managed to do my morning routine fast enough to have a little time on my computer!

September 19th, 2010 (3 years, 1 month): Depends on whether or not I put anything in it or took anything out of it just before going to bed

October 20th, 2010 (3 years, 2 months): Well, right now I have the Super Smash Bros. Brawl version of Tetris Type B stuck in my head, but unlike the default subject line implies I don't mind.

November 19th, 2010 (3 years, 3 months): Up to 4,934 words. Yay?

December 21st, 2010 (3 years, 4 months): For a while, I had gotten better at making new LJ userpics as opposed to procrastinating making them.

January 22nd, 2011 (3 years, 5 months): Here's how I did this week on my resolution about doing less than 4 stupid things a day on average:

February 19th, 2011 (3 years, 6 months): I only have three more days that I can get away with procrastinating and/or being too busy, and the Research Paper of the Apocalypse always requires more than that. :(

March 19th, 2011 (3 years, 7 months): I somehow forgot to mention this on the 11th, but not only was that day 11-3-11 if you write the day before the month, but it was also the 206th day of my senior year, and certain hours of the previous day were 25.2 or 25.9 days before the 666th day after my first 666 dream (though I didn't realize that last part until afterwards).

April 22nd, 2011 (3 years, 8 months): You might be a Matt1993 if you have a frozen pizza for lunch, then take a shower, then by the time you're done with your shower, you've forgotten all about the frozen pizza and have a pizza Lunchable for lunch.

May 19th, 2011 (3 years, 9 months): I'm not really sure; on the one hand, I wouldn't have to beat myself up over my many regrets since none of them actually happened, but on the other hand, it would mean that none of the awesome people I know (either in real life, online, or merely as celebrity crushes [i.e., Enya]) exist.

June 23rd, 2011 (3 years, 10 months): That would be hard to decide - although people in America today almost constantly argue about the stances that the Founding Fathers would have taken on particular issues, and I would like to settle one of those issues by asking George Washington about it, it would be hard to pick which issue to ask him about.

July 19th, 2011 (3 years, 11 months): POKEMON IN REAL LIFE!

August 19th, 2011 (4 years): In honor of today being the 4th anniversary of my LiveJournal, I have decided to start posting LJ comment stats every 3 months (so the 19th of August, November, February, and May every year) :)

September 19th, 2011 (4 years, 1 month): So, there's a speech on campus coming up about social networking issues for students, and I saw this in the description.

October 23rd, 2011 (4 years, 2 months): The last couple of days haven't been so good.

November 19th, 2011 (4 years, 3 months): ARE YOU COMING TO BED?

December 23rd, 2011 (4 years, 4 months): Naughty, if my stupid comments this year are part of his criteria :(

January 19th, 2012 (4 years, 5 months): I'm against SOPA for all of the same reasons that the Gods of Being Able to Voice Opinions Better than Matt1993 (e.g. LiveJournal, Wikipedia, Google, Randall Munroe, Ryan North...) are - and this is coming from a guy who usually doesn't comment on anything controversial because he either becomes depressed about what side to be on or posts about an occurrence of a number like 206 in a news article or something rather than actually discussing the issue.

February 20th, 2012 (4 years, 6 months): It's actually a tough decision. I'd either go back in time to fix as many stupid mistakes as I can (especially in LJ posts) without changing who I am today too much (just enough that I don't have to regret anything that I haven't gained something valuable from), or go into the future and see what I'll regret then that hasn't happened yet and then prevent it.

March 19th, 2012 (4 years, 7 months): Cats! I was bitten by a dog when I was little, so I was afraid of them for quite some time after that, but now the only time I have a problem with dogs is if they like to jump on me unexpectedly (which is actually a problem I also have with cats, though they do it much less often).

April 25th, 2012 (4 years, 8 months): So as if last Wednesday weren't bad enough, on my way back to the dorm from lunch today, I passed by some random guy who asked me if I was doing alright or something similar - I don't remember except that "Uh-huh" (or was it "Mm-hmm"?), which was the answer I gave, was definitely a valid answer.

May 22nd, 2012 (4 years, 9 months): I have more than % synesthesia, thank you very much.

June 25th, 2012 (4 years, 10 months): Well, after 32 days, I finally finished everyone's MS Paint meme drawings!!

July 24th, 2012 (4 years, 11 months): UGH. One of the assignments in the English class is a scavenger hunt where we go to the library to look up answers to 12 questions.

August 19th, 2012 (5 years): Yep - I created my LJ account on August 19, 2007. Sad how the anniversary of LJ should happen to be the day after I accidentally deleted a lot of LJ-related stuff, though... in fact, I was so busy that day that I didn't get to finish this post until the day after the anniversary of my LJ. :(

Wow, five years ago? I can't believe it's been that long.

Well, I did go back and forth between active and inactive for the first 17½ months, so it makes sense that it'd only feel like 3 years and 6½ months or so. :)

Happy five years on LJ, cutie! :D

A lot of your first lines are hugely entertaining, but the NASA camp one makes me GRAR! with jealousy, because it sounds so completely awesome.

Well, if it's any consolation, I GRAR! with jealousy at most of the other students who went with me because, unlike me, they actually knew what they were doing more than once a day. I got lost and/or made a fool of myself up to 8 times a day, and since I barely learned any non-math-related information I was taught in the HAS course and have a negligible amount of creativity, I didn't know enough about space to contribute to the team project other than designing the logo and doing the math. :(

People go to things like that for different reasons and with different skills. I'm sure some of those students you were jealous of were really glad that you were good enough at math to make up for their own lacking skills in that area. Everyone has things at which they excel, sweetie. :)

Well, it still annoys me a little when people are like "HOLY WHOLE HAND DEALER HE WENT TO NASA CAMP?! HE MUST BE THE REINCARNATION OF EINSTEIN!!!" when I'm probably less all-around smart than most of the other students there.

That seems like a stupid reaction, and I can see why it would annoy you. Then again, I think the appropriate reaction is seething nerdish jealousy, so I may not be the best arbiter of what is appropriate. Please don't denigrate your intellect, though, sweetie. We all have strengths and areas where we are helpless, even the people who seem to have everything have their deficits, too. You may not see them, but they are there. You are far too hard on yourself.

Blurb

If I had to pick six words to describe myself, I would panic and ask someone for help because I am so downright random and weird that there is no possible way to describe myself or my journal in only six words.

So here's a list of things you'll probably see in this journal, in no particular order:
- Posts about my life
- Posts about my worrying about being disliked for any number of reasons
- Posts about the fact that I'm trying to fix all the things that are messed up in my LJ and DW and catch up on lots of websites that I'm behind on reading
- Backups of my posts on Miiverse now that Miiverse is discontinued... so if you want to know what some random guy was saying about New Super Mario Bros. U or Nintendo Land five years ago, this is the journal for you :P
- Quizzes and surveys and such
- References to random things I'm obsessed with
- Whatever else I feel like posting

Some of the random things I'm obsessed with are:
- LiveJournal (obviously)
- Looking back at things that were made years ago... old posts on LJ, etc.
- Math
- Weird dreams
- Video games (mostly Mario, Super Smash Bros., Kid Icarus, and Chip's Challenge)
- Video game music
- Homestar Runner
- Enya, my favorite singer and biggest celebrity crush
- Too many comics/webcomics to name... Garfield, mezzacotta, Terror Island, and Circle Versus Square might be the ones I'm the MOST obsessed with though. Oh, and Super Mario Maker Crash Course - that counts as a comic, right? It certainly counts as something I'm obsessed with :P
- Speaking of Super Mario Maker Crash Course, my biggest *fictional* crush is Mary O. Yes, I have a crush on the guide to a video game MANUAL. I'm so weird...

For a (hopefully) complete list of interests and Q&A about me, visit my profile. :) (Which is still in need of an update...)

This journal is semi-friends-only, but there's not much rhyme or reason to which entries are public and which ones aren't...
