Writer's Block: Are you incentivized? @ 02:02 pm

Location (or, in some REALLY old entries, insult to Detect Button): Cheryl's house

Are there any buzz words or catch-phrases--such as incentivize or at the end of the day--that make you cringe? What are they, and why do you hate them?
Any Internet meme except "boot to the head" because they're just so overused.

"So i herd u liek mudkipz????"

"IT'S OVER 9000!!"

"I'm firin' my lazer! SH00P DA W00P!"*

"O RLY?" "YA RLY" "NO WAI!"

Etc., etc. See how annoying they are?

However, I've never heard of the word "incentivize" before (I had to look it up) and have no idea how either it or "at the end of the day" is annoying (though "incentivize" does sound like a weird word).

*This one is somewhat less annoying if "SH00P DA W00P" is replaced with "BLAARRGGHH!"

Incentivize and at the end of the day (abbreviated EOD and generally used as a deadline) are both over-used in corporate settings.

I personally dislike the phrase "it is what it is" - mainly because the person I first heard it from used it as an excuse to avoid trying to fix or change anything for the better.

Maybe that's why I don't find them annoying - I don't have a job yet :P
