Daylight Savings Time gets what it deserves @ 08:00 pm

Right now I am annoyingly: moody staple
Soundtrack: Dido - Grafton Street (sped up in Windows Media Player)

I woke up at 4:30 this morning, and when I looked at my alarm clock, the first thing I saw was the 3 for the second digit and thought:

a) that it was 6:30 AM, when I'm supposed to get up
b) that I had forgotten to set my alarm
c) that my mom had forgotten to set her alarm

Only b was right. I woke my mom up and told her it was 6:30, but then my sister came out and said it was 4:30. I looked at my alarm, and sure enough, it was 4:30. My mom and sister probably weren't too happy, but at least it felt like Daylight Savings Time ending...twice!

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME: You win this round... *shaking fist*

It does turn out you hadn't gone to sleep yet more often than not, doesn't it? :P

*laughs* DST isn't the type of thing to have an effect on me, but I've had something like this happen to me many times before. Whenever it's a weekend and I set my alarm for 10:30 or something because I need to get up Weekend-Early, I always run into troubles. Multiple time I have gotten up of my own accord, assumed that it was 10:30, taken a shower (I ALWAYS end up taking a shower), and then looked across the hall at my mum's clock, only to realize that it was actually 2:30 in the morning.
One might wonder why the colour of the sky has never tipped me off, but there you have it.

Yeah the color of the sky should have tipped me off that time too. Maybe if it turned green or something, I would wonder what time it was and look more closely at my alarm clock :P

There was also this time several years ago when I went to bed at 3:30 PM or something on a Thursday, I think because I was having a bad day, and woke up at 7:something PM thinking it was 7:something AM the next day and did some parts of my daily routine (forgot which) until everyone started telling me it was still Thursday. I thought they were trying to trick me, and argued with them for awhile, and it seemed no one at all knew why I thought it was Friday until...

ME: Is it late night?
MOM: It is late night.
ME: Oh!

Who knows what chaos would have unfurled if I hadn't figured out a reason it could still be Thursday?

*imagines fabric of space and time crumbling up and falling into a seven-dimensional trash can*
